
Shipping to the USA: Customs, Duties & Temporary Order Pause

We love seeing our frames take flight across the globe, from industrial sites in Germany to backyards in the U.S. But due to recent changes in American import policy, we are temporarily halting all orders to the United States. Here is what you need to know.
Why are there extra costs when ordering from outside the U.S.?
In recent days, the U.S. government introduced new import duties of up to 145 percent on goods originating from China. These tariffs are enforced by U.S. Customs and are not controlled or collected by us.
Even if your order ships from Germany, what matters is the country of origin for the product materials, not the shipping location.
Where are our frames made?
All our frames are designed, assembled and quality-controlled in Germany. However, some raw materials like carbon fiber and hardware are sourced from suppliers outside the European Union, including China.
This mixed origin can affect how U.S. Customs classifies the product and whether duties apply.
What does this mean for U.S. customers?
Customs may apply additional charges before delivery. These are usually collected by the carrier such as USPS, FedEx or UPS.
If the charges are not paid, the shipment may be returned to us. Unfortunately, in such cases we cannot refund the original shipping cost.
What we are doing
To prevent issues for our U.S. customers, we are temporarily stopping all shipments to the United States starting April 14, 2025. This is a proactive measure while we assess the situation and explore compliant options.

We do not control the actions or decisions of U.S. Customs. All import duties, taxes and related fees are the responsibility of the buyer. If a package is refused due to unpaid customs charges, it cannot be refunded once shipped.
